Millet-Wheat Jaggery Cookies

 

Ingredients:

  • Millet powder: ½ cup
  • Wheat flour: ½ cup
  • Baking powder: ½ teaspoon
  • Butter: ¼ cup (softened)
  • Jaggery powder: ½ cup
  • Milk: 2 tablespoons


Instructions:

  1. Mix dry ingredients: Combine millet powder, wheat flour, and baking powder in a bowl.

  2. Cream butter and jaggery: In another bowl, mix softened butter and jaggery powder until creamy.

  3. Combine wet and dry ingredients: Gradually add the dry mixture to the butter-jaggery mixture. Add milk to bind the dough into a soft consistency.

  4. Refrigerate: Cover the dough and refrigerate for about 30 minutes to firm it up.

  5. Shape cookies: Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Take small portions of the dough, roll them into balls, and flatten them slightly to make cookie shapes.

  6. Bake: Place the cookies on a lined baking tray, leaving space between each cookie. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until edges are golden.

  7. Cool and serve: Let the cookies cool on a wire rack before serving. Store in an airtight container.
