Banana Peanut Butter Brownies

 

Ingredients (Makes 6-8 brownies):

  • Ripe bananas: 2 (mashed)
  • Peanut butter: ½ cup (unsweetened, natural is best)
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder: ¼ cup

    • Vanilla extract: ½ teaspoon

Instructions:

1. Preheat the Oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • Grease or line a small baking dish (8x8 inches) with parchment paper.

2. Prepare the Batter:

  1. In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
  2. Add peanut butter and mix well until combined.
  3. Stir in the cocoa powder, ensuring there are no lumps.
  4. If using, add honey or maple syrup for extra sweetness and mix until smooth.
  5. Fold in optional add-ins like chocolate chips or nuts.

3. Bake the Brownies:

  1. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
  2. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until the edges are firm and the center is slightly soft (it will set as it cools).
  3. Remove from the oven and let cool completely in the pan.

4. Slice and Serve:

  • Once cooled, slice into squares and serve. These brownies are dense, fudgy, and naturally sweetened.
